Blosser Foundation Flight Training Scholarship
Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Cloud County Kansas.
Be at least 16 years old on or before the application close date of September 30th, 2020
Hold a current FAA Student Pilot Certificate at the time of application or have a pending Student
Pilot Certificate application.
Have not completed the FAA practical test or check ride at the time of application.
Selection Process by Concordia Airport Advisory Board:
The Airport Advisory Board will review applications to ensure eligibility standards are met.
Finalist will do an interview with selected members of the Airport Advisory Board.
A simple majority vote of Airport Advisory Board members is required to award the scholarship.
Scholarship funds will be awarded according to the following schedule:
- 1. Solo Flight by student $1,000
- 2. 10 hours flight time $1,000
- 3. 20 hours flight time $1,000
- 4. 30 hours flight time $1,000
- 5. 40 hours flight time and completion of private pilot certificate $1,000
Note: Recipients must receive their private pilot certificate within 12 months of the scholarship award date. If recipient is unable to comply with the 12 month requirement, they must submit a written request to the Airport Advisory Board to have the period extended or the scholarship will be terminated.
